Glade Cottage at the White Lotus Eco Spa and Retreat

This is not a place I expected. Decided to get away for the 4th of July weekend to escape crowds. Didn’t know I would stay at a place that was infested with ants and gnats. I liked over 7 different bugs while I was in the home. This places needs to be treated by a pest company. The front door needs to be sealed at the bottom. The back door needs to be sealed in the middle. There is an air pocket opening in the middle of the door which allows insects and bugs to get in. I literally had to hang my food up inside of a grocery bag on the bathroom towel rack to avoid the amount of ants that crawled on counter tops. I slept on top of the bed because I refused to sleep under the blanket. I left a day early due to this place that was not as expected. This place does not back-up to the main resort. You have to drive around to that area where the hot tub and sauna is. This is not the ideal place for a weekend getaway.

Beautiful area & David was very communicative

Appreciate David’s flexibility with our last minute request. When we arrived the friendly cleaning lady was finishing up so we had a chance to explore the property. Which I highly recommend you do - it’s gorgeous! There truly is so much to do that you’ll need to stay more than one night. Eager to be back as I’ll be using the wood stove Susana.
